My child has been sick. How do I get homework?

If your child has been ill for less than 4 days, have him/her call a friend or "study buddy" to get assignments. On the morning of the fourth day, call the office to request work from teachers.

What do I do when my child has a medical/dental appointment during school?

VERY IMPORTANT!  Send a note with your student to school on the day of the appointment stating the reason and time of appointment. Your child will be issued a pass that excuses him/her from class early to come to the office to wait for you.

Transition to junior high from elementary can be a big shock not only to the students but to our parents as well.

Part of this difficult transition is learning responsibility. Students frequently forget items and mom and dad not

wanting them to go without will bring that important forgotten item to the office and insist that the office staff

sends for their student. The office staff and cafeteria staff hopes the information below will ease the worries.

These are some of the questions we get daily:

Q. How can I get my students P.E. clothes (sack lunch, homework, projects etc.) to them?

A. We will ask you if they called for the item or if they knew you were going to bring it. We then let you

know we will place their item in the “CART” outside the Student Assistance Center. They can pick it up

during break, lunch or after school.

Q. My student forgot their instrument (listen up Band students). Can you get it to him?

A. The Office Assistants will deliver instruments and Band folders directly to Mr. Klemenok.

It is part of being prepared for class.

Q. How do I get my student out for a doctor/dentist appointment?

A. Send a note in with your child in the morning. They take it to the Student Assistance Center and is

issued an off campus pass. (Notes should NOT be given to the teacher)

Q. I called my student. Why did they have their cell phone taken away when it was my fault it rang?

A. Students are NOT allowed to use their cell phones during the day. This is discussed in the handbooks.

Please contact an assistant principal if additional information is required.

Q. I made a doctor/dentist appointment this morning, how do I get my student out?

A. A phone call ahead of time to the attendance office is the fastest way of having your student ready and

waiting for you. We all have had those appointments pop up. 778-4710 ext. 1006.

Q. Can you get my student's lunch money to them?

A. We do not put money outside and will call your child in. The preferred way is to have you put lunch

money on their cafeteria account. The student’s ID card is used for their identification. Please be sure your

child knows he/she can check in the cafeteria and have a meal available.

Q. How do I put money on my student's id card for lunch?

A. In the Cafeteria. Your student may put money on at any time. Our business hours are 6:15-1:00. This

money goes into a Point of Sale System and as long as there is money in their name they can use it to buy

food. We will usually let them know when they are down to a few dollars, so they can let their parents

know. Your student can ask at any time how much is left in their account or you may call the cafeteria to

inquire about the account.

Q. What if someone is using my student’s account?

A. Though this is rare, we load each account with a picture of your student, also we might ask their name.

Q. How could my student have gone through $50.00 already?

A. Breakfast is $2.00 and Lunch is $3.50. Snacks and breakfast items are also available during the 10

minute Break. You may at any time request a print out of your child’s purchases.
