About Me

Hello sudents!  This is your opportunity to learn a little about me.  This is my 21st year teaching at the middle school level and my 20th year at Kenilworth Junior High.  During those years I have taught 6th, 7th and 8th grades.  I love teaching and learning how to do new things.  My hobbies include gardening, hiking, fly fishing, reading, playing the guitar and working on my old house!

My first teaching job was at Lincoln Middle School in Alameda. It was the school I had attended as a preteenager.  (Yes, it was rather strange working alongside my former teachers!)  I began my career here at Kenilworth in 1989 and they have been years full of exciting experiences!

My philosophy is that all students can be successful in science.  I also believe all students can act appropriately and be responsble for their education.  When a student enters my classroom, I want them to be engaged, full of questions and eager to learn about scence, and I want to instill in them a desire to learn. 

Homework

This week's homework:  Parents please remember to check your students planner for assignments.  They are required to write in the assignment daily and I sign off on them each time they are in my class.   Listed below are the current weeks homework.

Read pages 120 - 126 in your text book.  We will have another round of Jeopardy when we return in December!

#38 Microscope Xword, 10 pts., due 12/5(A), 12/8(B)
